Dobrich Regional Information Centre (Dobrich RIC) completed the round of meetings on the topic "EU Opportunities for Young People" with a visit to the Docho Mihaylov Vocational High School of Engineering and Clothing in the town of Tervel. The experts from the Centre had a meeting with over 160 students, teachers and volunteers from Latvia and Armenia. The information meetings targeted students from the 10th and 11th grade of the secondary schools and vocational high schools in the District of Dobrich. The municipalities of General Toshevo, Shabla, Balchik and Tervel were visited. During the information meetings the participants had the opportunity to learn about the work, goals and services of Dobrich RIC and about the network of 28 regional information centres. The young people from the district were informed about the results achieved so far in the implementation of the operational programmes and acquired new knowledge about the Structural and Cohesion Funds. Specific examples of successfully implemented projects in the respective municipality were provided to the students for the purpose of simplifying and facilitating the comprehension of the information conveyed.  The pathway of a project proposal was presented during the meetings: from the idea to the implementation; the opportunities for student practices in a real working environment and the new programming period were discussed. A highlight in the presentation of the new programming period was Operational Programme Science and Education for Smart Growth.  The teachers expressed their desire that such meetings and discussions should be organized in the future as well and invited the team of Dobrich RIC to attend a class in the subject World and Personality.
