The cycle of remote office open visiting days of the Karzhali Regional Information Centre targeting residents in all municipalities in the Kardzhali region was closed after two successive meetings in the town of Dzhebel on 24 July 2013 and in the town of Momchilgrad on 30 July 2013. During the meetings the visitors at the mobile office had the opportunity to ask questions on the EU funding under the seven operational programmes. Awareness-raising events were also held in the period April through July for mayors of towns and villages, for municipal councilors and administrations for the purpose of presenting the new programming period 2014-2020 and discussing municipal and regional development plans. The new Operational Programme Science and Education for Smart Growth was discussed with representatives of organizations in the sphere of education and culture and the participants in the meetings had the opportunity to share their views on the future operational programmes and best practices from the perspective of their current experience.
