The degree of implementation of the operational programmes in the District
of Kyustendil was the major topic of the media briefings held by the District
Information Centre (DIC) of Kyustendil in the period 18 - 20 December.
The data provided by the Unified Management
Information System of the European Union Structural Instruments in Bulgaria
(UMIS) indicates that as of 3 December 2012 a total of 117 subsidy
contracts had been signed under the operational programmes in the District of
Kyustendil worth a total of BGN 160 411 871, out of which the grant
amount being BGN 146 116 471. The number of the beneficiaries under these contracts was 55. The completed projects were 41
and their total value was BGN 12 825 501. This was made clear in a
presentation delivered by experts from the Kyustendil RIC, who also provided the
information that 6 municipalities had approved projects under the Help at Home
Scheme of the Human Resources Development Operational Programme.
In connection with the implementation of the Energy Renovation of Bulgarian
Homes project the experts announced that as of 17 December 2012 there were two applications of
interest and support in the town of Kyustendil
and one in the town of Dupnitsa.
Mrs. Lyubomira Velinova, Manager of the Kyustendil Regional
Information Centre, in
her turn, informed the journalists about the activities implemented by the team
of the Centre in 2012, as well as about the joint initiatives of the network of 28 information centres and the 2013 events planned by Kyustendil RIC. Since
April 2012 the Kyustendil Regional Information Centre has held 18 information meetings in the municipalities of the district and four meetings for proactive
work with the media. The team of the Centre considers its cooperation with Glob@l Libraries, the Kyustendil Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the
Employment Agency as highly beneficial. Kyustendil RIC has also contributed actively
to the information campaign of the Energy Renovation of Bulgarian Homes project, as well as to the organization
of workshops with apartment building managers and representatives of the
Project Manager. The experts от Kyustendil RIC report greatest interest precisely in the Energy Renovation of Bulgarian Homes project, as well as in the opportunities provided by the Human Resources Development Operational Programme.
In 2013 the team of the Centre will continue to provide information about
ongoing calls for proposals under the operational
programmes and its plan is to conduct events promoting the new programming period and to present good practices derived
from projects implemented under the operational programmes in the period 2007-2013.
