Single Information Web Portal

District Information Point - Pernik organized a meeting with the community of Breznik Municipality on the following topic: Open Procedures for Financial Grants under Operational Programmes. Sharing Best Practices. The event took place on June 22nd 2012 in the meeting room of Community Center "Prosveshtenie - 1870". The Manager of the Information Point Mrs Elena Tsolova presented best practices from successfully implemented projects co-financed by the Structural and Cohesion Funds of the European Union, performed by the municipalities of Pernik and Radomir. The experts from Eurointegration Department shared at the meeting that the municipality of Breznik, in partnership with Foundation "Bulgarian Gender Research Center"- Sofia, successfully implemented the project "Home Assistants" that can be viewed as a best practice. The project was launched in October 2010 and is completed in February 2012. Within 12 months utilities and public works were performed in Kosharevo, Noevtsi and Breznik. The project's budget amounts to BG N136,708.00. Selection and training were performed and 22 home assistants were appointed; they provided services to 44 users. Breznik Municipality prepares a project proposal for the starting scheme Help At Home, financed under Human Resources Development OP. This project shall upgrade what was already achieved under the projects Help At Home and "Personal Assistant". The target group is again the group of people with unequal social status but their number is considerably higher - 66. The project aims to create a sustainable model for providing dignified life and providing services in home environment for people who are fully or partially unable to take care of themselves and are in risk of social isolation. The opportunity for opening new jobs in the municipal social enterprises shall also provide conditions for decrease of unemployment. After approval the project shall be performed for the duration of 14 months. DIP- Pernik is one of the 27 District Information Points established under project Establishing and Operation of District Information Point - Pernik, Contract No. BG161РО002-3.3.02-00026-С0001 for financial grant, financed under Technical Assistance Operational Programme, co-financed by the European Union through the European Fund for Regional Development.
