On July 6th 2012 an information meeting took place in the monument-house Georgi Dimitrov in the village of Kovatchevitsa under the following topic: Open Procedures for Financial Grants under OPs. Sharing Best Practices.
Mr. Zhecho Zhechev, an external lecturer for the organization, introduced the currently active procedures under the Operational Programmes in the country. The project Energy Renovation of Bulgarian Homes implemented by Housing Department of MRDPW and financed under Regional Development OP caused high interest among the attendees of the meeting. The participants actively asked questions related to admissible measures for renovation of multi-family buildings, methods of applying, main stages to pass through. The attendees admitted that the main problem for the owners is the restricted financial resource for some of them which will render it impossible to apply for renovation of the multi-family buildings. The experts of DIP- Pernik explained that this factor is taken into account and the procedure provides opportunities for leveraging these owners. For the purpose Central Cooperative Bank is selected and it will provide low interest loans with maximum maturity of 10 years.
The other opportunity discussed were the European funds under the scheme I Can Do More. It provides an opportunity for employed persons to increase their qualification through key competencies - foreign languages, computer literacy, acquiring skills for vehicle driving etc. Most of the questions asked were related to the documents needed to apply for the procedures and where they should be submitted.
With a view to information exchange Vanya Davidova, expert of DIP- Pernik promulgated best practices of already completed projects, implemented on the territory of Pernik District.
DIP- Pernik was established under project Establishing and Operation of District Information Point - Pernik, Contract No. BG161РО002-3.3.02-00026-С0001 for financial grant, financed under Technical Assistance Operational Programme, co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund.
