On November 19th 2012 District Information Point-Pernik held an information meeting in town of Zemen, which is a part of a series of information events, aimed at informing the public for "Key documents and priorities of the new programming period 2014-2020". Representatives of the business, municipal administration, non-governmental organizations, educational institutions, etc., attended the event.
Stoyan Yotov, expert in European Funds, presented priorities of the new programming period 2014-2020. "In the next programming period the Member States and the Commission of the European Union are committed to focus on strengthening the coordination and complementarity between the Funds under the Common Strategic Framework and the Programme for research and innovation "Horizon 2020" (the so called "ladder of excellence"), the Programme for the Competitiveness of enterprises and SMEs (COSME), as well as other centrally managed programmes of EU for funding, while clearly divided areas of intervention between them". Yotov also said that "The Union and Member States should implement the delivery of smart, sustainable and inclusive growthwhile promoting harmonious development of the Union and reducing regional disparities, which in many cases are too large."
During the second part of the information meeting Milen Stanimirov, expert from the DIP-Pernik, presented the current procedures, aimed at business -"On the road" and "New job", funded by the Human Resources Development OP. "Business should not miss any funding opportunity, because this is a fresh capital that can support the activity and competitiveness of Bulgarian enterprises", said Stanimirov. The Executive Director of Quarries and Limestone Production Jsc - town of Zemen Krastin Zlatkov said that they have recently learned about the procedure "Safe Working Environment" and they intend to prepare and submit project proposal, despite the short deadlines".
District Information Point-Pernik, as a part of the network of 28 information points was established under a project of Municipality of Pernik and financed under Contract BG161РО002-3.3.02-00026-С0001 of Technical Assistance Operational Programme, co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund.
