On September 27th 2012 at the office of District Information Point-Pernik (DIP) the forth meeting for proactive work with the media took place. The meeting was attended by journalists from broadcasts, print and internet editions from the region.
The DIP's experts presented the implementation of the Operational Programmes in the Republic of Bulgaria since the beginning of the programming period.
The registered beneficiaries from Pernik Region are 53 with a total of 82 projects where the overall contracted value is approximately BGN 83 million. Currently in progress are 17 projects. Projects, funded by the EU Funds are underway in five of six municipalities and the major city is taking the first place with a total of 46 projects of 31 beneficiaries. The second position is for Radomir with 12 projects, followed by Tran, Breznik and Zemen.
The representatives of the media were presented the report on the use of the funds to August 15, 2012. "After analysis of data taken from the Information System for Coordination and Management of Structural Instruments of EU in Bulgaria (MIS), can be concluded that Pernik Region ranked second with BGN 288,80 under the criterion "funds paid per capita". "All this shows that in the region has been established a good administrative capacity for the preparation and management of projects, funded by the EU funds" said the Manager of the Information Point, Elena Tsolova.
District Information Point-Pernik, as a part of the network of 28 information points was established under a project of Municipality of Pernik and financed under Contract BG161РО002-3.3.02-00026-С0001 of Technical Assistance Operational Programme, co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund.
