On September 18th 2012 in Youth House-Pernik the District Information Point-Pernik organized and held an information day on "Implementation of the Operational Programmes for the district. Open grant award procedures under the operational programmes. Sharing of good practices".
The meeting passed with strong interest from regional structures of state institutions, representatives of the business, Secondary Comprehensive Schools and Universities, NGOs, etc.
The expert in European Project Zhecho Zhechev introduced the implementation of the operational programmes implemented by the Republic of Bulgaria in the period 2007-2013. The ranking of the regions on the number of contracts performed and funds paid by the Structural Funds and Cohesion Fund was of great interest and the Pernik Region was ranked tenth place according to the number of completed and paid projects with a total value of more than BGN 38 million. Under the "funds per capita" criterion the region is on the prestige second place with BGN 288,80.
A total of 82 projects have been contracted under the operational programmes in the Region of Pernik with a total amount of more than BGN 82 million. Leader of the list of beneficiaries for the district is the city of Pernik with 59%.
The Manager of DIP-Pernik Elena Tsolova presented the current procedures for selection of project proposlas. She highlights the procedures "Safe Working Environment" under Human Resources Development Operational Programme and "Energy Efficiency and Green Economy" under Operational Programme Development of the Competitiveness of the Bulgarian Economy, that would caused interest to the representatives of the micro-, small and medium-sized enterprises.
District Information Point-Pernik, as a part of the network of 28 information points was established under a project of Municipality of Pernik and financed under Contract BG161РО002-3.3.02-00026-С0001 of Technical Assistance Operational Programme, co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund.
