On 20.02.2013, the briefing at the Municipality Kovachevtsi RIC - Pernik over the first 2013 cycle of meetings in Pernik on new funding opportunities for projects under the Structural and Cohesion Funds outlined the indicative work programs for 2013. Before representatives of the local community were presented the currently opened procedures for project selection, indicative periods, topics, and financial frameworks, upcoming startup procedures until the end of the programming period.
Particular interest sparked OPAC procedures to enhance the administrative capacity and optimize the performance of the municipal administration and related activities eligible for funding. At present, OPAC will fund projects to implement effective mechanisms for monitoring and control of implementation of municipal policies, budget line BG051PO002/13/1.3-07 and optimize the structure of local government to achieve greater efficiency and avoid duplication of functions, budget line BG051PO002/13/1.1-07.
At the meeting, Elena Tzolova, manager of RIC - Pernik, presented the activities of the Centre and the results from the functioning of the network of 28 data centers, throughout the country, during the past 2012. Participants were familiarized with the priorities and annual work plan of the RIC - Pernik in 2013. The focus of the Center will be to provide an update on the preparation of the new programming period 2014-2020, as well as sharing of best practices from successful projects on a regional and national scale.
