Bulgaria will implement two new operational programs in the new 2014 - 2020 programming period. "Regional Development " and "Development of the Competitiveness of Bulgarian Enterprises" will keep their coverage, but with changed names respectively "Regions for Growth" and "Innovation and Competitiveness". The hitherto acting "Administrative Capacity" OP and "Technical Assistance" OP are merged under the name "Good Governance" OP. The development of education in the next seven years will be taken care by a new operational program entitled "Science and Education for smart growth". In order to promote and share best practices supported by the Structural and Cohesion Funds (SCF) the RIC team was chosen to present the "Technological modernization in Interstroy - Kale AD" project, funded by the "Competitiveness" OP. The choice of this particular project was prompted by the announcement of a public consultation process "technologies in small and medium enterprises". "This is probably one of the most successful and certainly the most sought after procedures by the business, and it will be the last chance to raise the competitiveness of Bulgarian enterprises by SCF in this programming period", said Stanimirov.
