On 07.16.2013 the Regional Information Center - Pernik held a briefing in the municipality of Tran.
Nikolai Tsenkov - "Programs and projects of the EU" expert presented current and forthcoming procedures for a range of project proposals to be funded by the Structural and Cohesion Fund of EU". "The launch of the last for this programming period procedure aimed at business is expected to come any moment now. This is a procedure: "Technological modernization of small and medium enterprises" , in which projects from 100,000 to 2 million BGN , micro and small enterprises can apply for grant assistance amounting to 70 % of the project proposal for acquisition and renovation of their technological equipment", stressed Tsenkov.
Milen Stanimirov - expert in the Information center, announced initiatives of the network of data centers, which will be held in the summer.
"We are anxiously looking forward to implementing the "lessons learned" initiative because we have something to say to the managing authorities of the operational programs" - that was said by the representatives of the "European programs" to the municipal administration. The border municipality has 8 projects under operational programs, of which 4 are finalized. The territory of Tran is running projects funded by other programs - rural regions and trans-border cooperation. This gives confidence to the representatives of the small community for good management and proper use of the instruments provided by the European funds. The experience compiled, the overcome difficulties and recommendations they will have the opportunity to address to the governing bodies of the seven operational programs through participation in a large-scale survey of beneficiaries, which starts on July 3rd, 2013.
Stanimirov presented also the second initiative of the network - "logo and slogan of the new programming period". The initiative has a competitive character with a delivery period from early July to October 1, 2013. There are no other restrictions apart of the presentation of project proposals which has to be made in vector format. The ultimate goal of the competition is from the largest possible number of proposals to choose the best possible version of a logo and slogan that will identify the new 2014 - 2020 programming period.
The attendees at the meeting were acquainted with part of the package of measures under the "Youth Guarantee" European initiative, with a budget of 6 billion for the period 2014-2020 (half will be provided by ESF). The Member States should ensure that in the period 2014-2020 all young people under 25 years old will get a good job offer continuing education or training within four months of becoming unemployed or leaving the formal education system.
