On July 24, 2013 the Regional Information Center - Pernik, held a briefing in the Municipality of Zemen on "Key highlights of the new operational programs in Bulgaria. Open procedures for granting financial assistance and sharing best practices".
Vania Davidova - expert in the Information center presented before the participants in the forum the general initiatives of the information network. Davidova announced a competition for a common logo and slogan of the EU funds, whose start was given at the beginning of July by Deputy Zinaida Zlatanova. The contest aims to create a visual identity for the new 2014-2020programming period, which will be used by all operational programs. "The team at RIC - Pernik sincerely hopes that the prize for the best design of a logo and slogan of the EU funds will be awarded to a representative of the Pernik region," said the expert.
Another initiative of the Network of centers promoting cohesion policy of the European Union will be under the motto "Lessons learned". Already running is an extensive survey with a quiz character among beneficiaries, implementing projects under the operational programs for the period 2007 - 2013 on the territory of the whole country. The initiative aims to bring out the critical points in the implementation and management of projects. "Letters were sent to all 69 beneficiaries from the District of Pernik, registered in the information system for the management and monitoring of EU funds. That includes Municipality of Zemen too. We sincerely hope that you will respond and reflect your problems, constructive comments and recommendations. And we, in turn will summarize them and promise to reach the managing authorities of operational programs", said Davidova. Daniela Vladimrova - Deputy Mayor of Zemen Municipality and NGO representative applauded the opportunity afforded to them and expressed their willingness to codify in detail the difficulties encountered in the implementation of projects financed from EU funds. "From now we declare our participation in the roundtable provided and we even book first in the discussions. We have a lot to share and a lot to offer and we are happy that although by the end of the program period this initiative has been launched", said Vladimrova.
