The event took place at the office of the District Information Point. The schoolchildren from the Language School could see the services delivered by the network of 28 information points for popularisation of EU's rapprochement policy in Bulgaria. The young people familiarised themselves with the activities and the results from the functioning of the network up to date and with its initiatives in 2013. They were communicated about the due national student's essay competition where the topic was "I Know about the EU funds", whose start will be announced at the start of the 2013/2014 school year.
The "Days of Europe in Razgrad" to be conducted this autumn excited the interest of many of those present. They shared that they would be happy to join in as volunteers to help the team of the Razgrad District Information Point and would be active participants in a variety of acts aimed at a wide range of representatives of the local community in the town and across the Province.
The schoolchildren asked questions regarding the opportunities to use EU funds until the end of this programming period. They also expressed interest to whether there would be programmes for youth implementation financed within the scope of the EU funds following 2013. They were also acquainted with the progress in the preparation for the subsequent 2014-2020 programming period where particular attention was paid to the new Operational Programme "Science and Education for Smart Growth".
Following the discussion, the tenth-year students from Language High School had the chance to work with touch screen devices at the office of the Razgrad District Information Point. There they considered some opportunities for financing youth activities and projects provided by the European programmes.
