A booklet to assist the integrated education and training of children and schoolchildren with special educational needs (SEN) will be written within the framework of the project "Smiles for All Children" financed from the Development of Human Resources Operative Programme.   The Beneficiary of the funds under projects is the Non-for-Profit Association "Razgrad Youth Forum 2001", and the deadline for its implementation is 24 months. In pursuance of the project activities, each from the seven Municipalities in the Province shall activate focus groups, with the participation of teachers, parents and experts.   "During the discussions (stage from the preparation of the booklet), we collected the viewpoints and opinions of participants, but we also need some specific proposals and mechanisms", noted the experts involved, i.e. teachers from the Sofia University "Sveti Kliment Ohridski". Regarding the booklet worked out, they indicate that "it is the first time that anything like this is worked out in terms of the way it is being written". If this effort proves to be a success for Razgrad and the region, then this may turn into a strategy applicable countrywide.   This appliance is aimed at serving directly to teachers and specialists helping to avoid the existing contradictions between them and the parents of children and schoolchildren with SEN. "What is important is the general strategy, the State's will and - last but not least - the participation of the non-government organisations, which should use the good practices. Because is ahead of the strategy. The balance will be established by the pedagogues, and this is why investments will be needed for their training", is the conclusion of the experts.
