On 21 and 22 June, the provincial town turned into an open-air scene for an innovative 2013 cultural event within the framework of the project "Razgrad: the Town Is a Scene" co-financed by the 2007-2013 Regional Development Operational Programme.
The beneficiary, which is the Municipality of Razgrad and the partner under the project, the Public Community Centre "Development 1869", organised in various corners across the town some open-air art activities, a party and night concerts.
The festival days started with a rally of the participants in the street arts: the Alley of Muses, live sculptures, gigs of the brass orchestra, the cheerleaders and dance groups. Demonstrations of street theatre and the children's clown show "I, the Clown", followed.
The halls of the Prof. Iliya Petrov Art Gallery hosted hours in painting: aquarelle and life drawing. Next came a workshop in music arts with the participation of Ms Viktoriya Terziyska and the Mastilo band. In the afternoon hours the town turned into a common scene for bike and skate demonstrations, and a break dance and hip-hop party followed by the night concert of the Mastilo band.
The second day of the cultural event started with the opening of a display of the works created during the sculpture classes. These works will be put permanently in Razgrad downtown.
The programme continued with trainings in dance, music and painting where the topic was "Visual improvisations after musical themes" in the halls of the Art Gallery, with the participation of professional musicians from the Razgrad philharmonic orchestra. That day the town saw the opening of an open-air scene for authentic folklore entitled "Ludogorie Tunes".
At the "Orel" Housing Estate, the dwellers and visitors of Razgrad had the opportunity to join the street theatre arts and the hours of drum and percussion instruments with the participation of Mr Kalin Velyov, Percussionist. In the afternoon hours were presented the ready graffiti, performances and folk dance training. What followed was the concert show "Fire and Rhythm" presented by Kalin Velyov and the TUMBAITO band.
The second Art and Talent Festival in the town of Razgrad ended with performances of the cheerleaders' group at the Centre for Work with Children and of the Phoenix dance group.
