Single Information Web Portal

The District Information Point in Smolyan carried out a seminar whose topic agenda was ‘Good practices in education implemented under EU funded projects in the Province of Smolyan'. The main purpose of the event was to give an answer to the need of more informal meetings as identified during the informational meetings with representatives of the Smolyan DIP, which are supposed to help the development of partnerships and stimulate the exchange of good ideas in the territory of the Province of Smolyan. The seminar was attended by representatives of the educational institutions from the Province of Smolyan, who had the opportunity to present and familiarise themselves with implemented successful projects and to discuss current topics and lessons learned from their implementation. Representatives of the Resource centre in Smolyan shared their experience under the project "Let's Find a Way to One Another" including various initiatives with schoolchildren from Smolyan schools with special educational needs, whose goal is to facilitate the involving of this target group in the educational process applying different methods, including applying the toolbox typical of art-pedagogy. Certain experience was also shared that had been accumulated during the participation in joint initiatives with other European and third States, and the practices applied there in their work with children with special educational needs. The next item on the agenda of the seminar was the presentation of experience accumulated by the St Cyril and St Methodius Secondary Comprehensive School, the 7th Otets Paisiy Secondary Comprehensive School and the 2nd Prof. Asen Zlatarov, DSc Primary Comprehensive School, who shared their impressions based on the experience acquired during their visits to foreign educational institutions and presented their views on the modernisation of the educational process in the Smolyan schools, through the opportunities which European financing provides.
