On May 28th (Monday) representatives of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works shall present the project Energy Renovation of Bulgarian Homes in Kazanlak.
The presentation shall take place at 17:00 p.m. in the Chamber Hall of the Culture Palace Arsenal. Desislava Yordanova, Director of Housing Policy Directorate at MRDPW shall participate.
The aim of the project is to provide better living conditions for the citizens in multi-family buildings in town centers through increase of quality of living environment and implementation of measures for energy efficiency. It comprises the town centers and continues for 3 years (2012-2015). The total amount of financial grant is BGN 50 mln. The beneficiary is Housing Policy Directorate at the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works.
The financial grants for implementation of measures for energy efficiency shall be provided to associations of owners, registered under the provisions of Condominium Ownership Act in the respective administration and BULSTAT register. For each approved building the owners shall receive financial support amounting to 50 % of the renovation budget. The costs for audits of buildings for establishing the technical parameters, including preparation of technical passport of the building and energy audit shall be fully covered by the Operational Programme.
In relation to implementation of project a special fund for building renovation shall assist the process of renovation through providing loans/bank guarantees. Its purpose is to assist the associations of owners or separate owners of stand alone objects in multi-family residential buildings to provide their share of 50% of the budget for renovation of the respective building/block section.
Positively assessed will be all buildings complying with admissibility criteria and shall receive approval for financial grant and implementation of renovation for energy efficiency as provided for requesting and until exhausting the available public financial resource.
