On May 30th the team of DIP - Stara Zagora took part in a meeting of the Regional Council for Regional Development conducted in the conference room of District Administration Stara Zagora. The meeting was attended by mayors, chairpersons of municipal councils, representatives of social partner, journalists.
In the first part of the meeting the results were presented from the conducted training under project "European collaboration through mobility for successful professional development" implemented by the District Administration Stara Zagora. The project is financed under the Lifelong Learning Programme - Leonardo Da Vinchi.
In the second part of the meeting the District Information Point introduced to the members of Regional Council for development the opportunities for financing of municipal projects under the Operational Programmes by the end of 2012 on the currently open schemes or ones that will be opened this year.
Despite the restricted number of schemes to be opened in 2012 because of expiration of programming period 2007-2013, the municipalities may participate with project proposals under the schemes: "Improvement and development of infrastructure for drinkable and sewerage waters in agglomerations between 2000 and 10 000 equiv. c." under Environment Operational Programme and Help at Home under Human Resources Development Operational Programme, as well as projects under the forthcoming schemes: "Green and accessible town environment" under Regional Development Operational Programme, as well as under the schemes of Human Resources Development Operational Programme - Live in Society, "Chance for Happy Childhood" and "Let"s Not Abandon a Single Child"
Mayors of the smaller municipalities from the District expressed their wish that in future they can receive information from the team of DIP under the Rural Development Programme.
The District Information Point is established under project "Establishing and Operation of Districts Information Point - Stara Zagora", financed under Technical Assistance Operational Programme, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
