Single Information Web Portal

31.07.2013 Summer is the time for leisure, pleasant emotions and amusements for children and schoolchildren in Stara Zagora. The Stara Zagora DIP joined as a partner the initiatives of "Vacations 2013" organised by the Local Commission for Combat against Anti-Social Behaviour of Minors and Juveniles and the Municipality of Stara Zagora. On the last day of July the Stara Zagora DIP welcomed schoolchildren of different ages and schools, and by presentations and role-play games presented information on the European Union and its role for each citizen of the country. The visitors of the District Information Point familiarised themselves with the activity of the network of 28 information points in the country, the priorities of the District Information Point and initiatives of the Stara Zagora DIP in 2013. The presentation delivered helped the schoolchildren to enrich their knowledge about the EU, its symbols, its anthem, its history and what our membership in the EU gives us as Bulgarians. Schoolchildren from the Romain Rolland Language High School and the Vasil Levski Secondary Comprehensive School described with satisfaction to all the present their participation in the „USPEH" project within the scope of OPHRD and their opportunities for participation in mobility and exchange of good practices related projects. Through multi-touch devices at the office and by using experts from the District Information Point, the schoolchildren learned more about the opportunities for travelling, education and traineeships in the European Union from the website of the European Youth Portal www.ec.europa.eu. The young people were impressed by the diversity of EU related literature in different languages in the library at the office of the Information Point.
