The Yambol District Information Point (DIP) (DIP) conducted a meeting with 12-grade students of the Vasil Karagiozov Foreign Languages High School in the town of Yambol where "European school" was the topic.
"The accession to the EU made the citizens of Bulgaria a part of a zone of stability and security. Each Bulgarian has the right to travel, work, study, or live in each EU Member State", Ms. Stanislava Ivanovа, expert in the Yambol DIP, noted.
During the meeting, the students familiarised themselves with the DIP"s role in the popularisation of the opportunities provided by the European Union. The seven Operational Programmes were also presented as well as their significance for Bulgaria to be a competitive EU Member State, with high standard of life and comfortable income.
The information on the education and apprenticeship opportunities found on the Internet-site of the European Youth Portal specifically designed by the European commission - http://ec.europa.eu/bulgaria/youth/ evoked an exceptional interest among the young people.
At the end of the meeting, during a quiz, the children showed their knowledge on the European Union and the best performances of them were given rewards.
