Results, achievements, impact

The construction of a motorway road in Ruse — Veliko Tarnovo will have the free flow of freight, leading to a significant reduction of road accidents in the existing I-5 road. The road is part of the pan-European highway (European Transport Corridor No IX) connecting Europe to Istanbul and the Middle East and thus to Africa.

The new motorway will reduce the heavy traffic flows from populated areas, thus limiting negative environmental impacts affecting the population.
