The Minister of Environment and Water Neno Dimov and Eng. Slavcho Slavkov, manager of Water Supply and Sewerage Ltd. - Kardzhali, have signed a contract for the completion and reconstruction of the water supply system and sewerage networks. The total investment is over BGN 67.8 million. The Operational Programme Environment 2014-2020 (OPE) provides a grant of over BGN 49.8 million.

The Minister of Environment and Water Neno Dimov, the Mayor of Rousse Plamen Stoilov and the Executive Director of Municipal Transport Rousse EAD Alexander Georgiev signed a contract for improvement of air quality through investments in ecological transport.

This is the first project under Operational Programme Environment 2014-2020 (OPE) with measures to address transport as a source of atmospheric air pollution with fine particulate matter (PM10). The total investment is BGN 46.8 million. OPE provides BGN 39 million.

The Minister of Environment and Water Neno Dimov and the Mayor of Yambol Municipality Georgi Slavov signed today a contract for the construction of a composting installation. The project will build a facility with a capacity of 2 400 tons per year for the processing of separately collected green and biodegradable waste on the territory of the municipality. The facility will serve nearly 70,000 inhabitants.

The Minister of Environment and Water Neno Dimov and Angel Prestoyski, Manager of Water Supply and Sewerage Ltd. - Vratsa today signed a contract for construction of water and sewerage infrastructure. The event is also attended by the Vratsa regional governor of Malina Nikolova. The total amount of the investment is over BGN 50 million. The Operational Program "Environment 2014-2020" (OPE) provides financial support amounting to more than BGN 36.3 million.

OP "Environment 2014-2020" announced a procedure for addressing transport as a source of atmospheric pollution. The total amount of the grant is BGN 500 million.

The objective is to improve the quality of ambient air by reducing the levels of fine particulate matter and nitrogen oxides by addressing transport as a source of contamination.

The Minister of Environment and Water Neno Dimov and the Mayor of Smolyan Municpality Nikolay Melemov signed a contract for improving the quality of the ambient air. The amount of the investment is 9.6 million BGN, provided entirely by OP "Environment 2014-2020".

The Minister of Environment and Water Neno Dimov and the mayors of Haskovo Dobri Belivanov and Gorna Oryahovitsa Dobromir Dobrev signed contracts for updating the municipal programs for improving the quality of the ambient air.

The projects include updating the municipal ambient air programs over five years period (2021-2025). The programs will be addressing the main sources of air pollution in the two municipalities. The focus is on selecting adequate measures to reduce particulate matter pollution to local conditions.

The Minister of Environment and Water Neno Dimov and the manager of "Water Supply and Sewerage" Ltd. - Smolyan Eng. Marian Nikolov signed a contract for the integrated water project of Smolyan agglomeration. This is the first project with a water utility beneficiary, financed under OP "Environment 2014-2020".

6400 students competed in the Green Olympics Campaign campaign on a national scale. Participants from more than 25 schools responded to nature conservation issues and won prizes provided by the Operational Programme Environment .

This year the online platform http://zelenaolimpiada.bg/ has registered 5000 participants. 1400 students from Kyustendil, Haskovo, Blagoevgrad and Pleven competed in eco quizzes and answered questions about the conservation of nature.
